Apple Pie Roll-ups

Apple Pie Roll-ups

If you love warm, gooey apple pie but want a fast, easy version, these air fryer apple pie roll-ups are a total win. Crispy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside, and filled with a luscious cream cheese layer, they’re perfect for dessert, snack time, or even brunch.

Best of all? They’re ready in just minutes and require minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 2 soft flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons powdered sugar (or to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons apple pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or cooking spray, for brushing)

Optional: Cinnamon sugar or extra powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat the Air Fryer
Set your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) to preheat while you prepare the filling.

2. Make the Cream Cheese Spread
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth. This spread balances the sweetness of the apple pie filling and adds a creamy layer to the roll-ups.

3. Assemble the Roll-Ups

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla.
  • Add about 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling on top of the cream cheese, keeping it in a thin line down the center.
  • Roll the tortillas tightly but gently, keeping the filling inside. Secure with toothpicks if needed.

4. Prepare for Air Frying
Brush or spray the rolled tortillas lightly with oil to help them crisp up. If you have air fryer parchment paper, use it to prevent sticking.

5. Air Fry
Place the rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.

6. Serve
Remove the toothpicks, cut the roll-ups in half or quarters, and sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve warm for the best gooey texture.

Tips & Variations

  • Tortilla Alternatives: You can use wonton wrappers, phyllo dough, or gluten-free wraps in place of tortillas. Brush lightly with oil or butter before air frying.
  • Make it Gluten-Free: Rice paper or softened cabbage leaves can work as a wrap.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes to bring back the crispiness.
  • Extra Flavor: Add a pinch of cinnamon to the cream cheese or sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top for a warm, autumn-inspired twist.
