  • Total: 25 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (rigatoni, penne, rotini, or your favorite shape)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ยฝ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ยฝ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: Serve with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch, chipotle mayo, or marinara.

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil your pasta according to package directions until al dente (firm, not soft). For rigatoni, about 12 minutes works well.
  2. Drain thoroughly and allow the pasta to cool slightly.

Tip: Al dente pasta holds up better in the air fryer and becomes perfectly crispy.

Step 2: Season the Pasta

  1. Place the cooked pasta in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.

Tip: Freshly grated Parmesan gives a better crisp and flavor than pre-shredded cheese.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390ยฐF (198ยฐC) for 2 minutes.

Step 4: Air Fry the Pasta Chips

  1. Spread the seasoned pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  2. Cook for 6 minutes at 390ยฐF.
  3. Shake or stir the pasta, then cook for an additional 1โ€“3 minutes until golden brown and crunchy.

Tip: Keep an eye on smaller or broken pasta piecesโ€”they may cook faster or burn.

Step 5: Serve

  • Transfer the pasta chips to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately.
  • Pair with your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.

Tips & Tricks

  • Pasta Shapes: Use hollow shapes like rigatoni or penne for a crispier texture. Avoid broken pieces.
  • Seasoning Variations: Add paprika, chili flakes, or fresh herbs for a flavor twist.
  • Storage: Best eaten fresh. If storing leftovers, reheat briefly in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
  • Cheese Options: Swap Parmesan for Pecorino Romano or Asiago for a sharper flavor.

Air Fryer Pasta Chips are a crunchy, flavorful snack thatโ€™s quick to make and incredibly satisfyingโ€”perfect for dipping, snacking, or serving at gatherings.
